My Education:  I graduated from Buffalo Valley High School and then attended Eastern Oklahoma A. and M. College until I married.  I then moved from Oklahoma to Florida.  A few years ago, I was afforded the opportunity to go back to college and I have recently received my A.S. Degree in Early Childhood Education.

My Background:  I have lived in Florida since the age of eighteen, so I guess you could say I am almost a native Floridian.  I have the unique distinction of being one of the senior staff members at Merritt Island Christian School.  I have been teaching young children here for many years.  I have two grown children, a son and a daughter, and four absolutely wonderful grandchildren.  My son and his wife are also staff members at MICS.

My Position:  PK3 teacher

My Faith and Learning Statement:  I started my relationship with Christ at the age of eight.  Over the years, there have been many trials and joys in my life and I know God was with me through all of them.  Today I am before you as a seasoned Christian, teacher, and servant of the Lord.

I have always known that working at MICS was not just my job, but my ministry.  I love what I do.  Each group of children is “kind of like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get.”  That is what makes life fun and wonderfully exciting.  And that brings a new challenge each year.
