      I received an A.A. from Mt. Vernon Nazarene College - Mt. Vernon, Ohio, a B.S. in Education from Eastern Nazarene College  - Qunicy, Massachusetts, a Masters in Education from Mount Saint Joseph University -Cincinnati, Ohio and presently I am a doctoral student at George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon. I, also, studied at British Isles Nazarene College in Manchester, England.

      I was raised in a Christian home and accepted Christ as my Savior as a small child. I have a twin sister who is a teacher at a private school in St. Louis and an older brother who retired from coaching track and cross country at an Ohio university.  My father was a physics and chemistry professor. My mother was my Sunday School teacher throughout my youth and a great spiritual influence in my life. I served in Ohio as Puppet Director, Junior Church Director and Sunday School Teacher for over 25 years in my church prior to moving to Florida.

      This is my 37th year in education, 25 years in the Ohio Public School System and 12 years at Merritt Island Christian School. This is my 11th year as the elementary principal.

      I love boating, relaxing in the Florida sun and spending time with family and friends, especially my three beautiful grandchildren.

      My goal as elementary principal at Merritt Island Christian School is to lead my students in having a relationship with Jesus Christ. I have been greatly influenced by the author, Denny Gunderson. I desire to be, as Gunderson states, "a teachable leader willing to receive ministry from my followers." I am blessed to serve in a position where I work with a faculty and staff that I consider my best friends. Edward Farrell states in Gordon MacDonald's book, A Resilient Life, "There are certain people...who enable us to be as we have never been before." MacDonald calls them the "Happy Few". I call them my "Happy Many". In their company I find acceptance, peace and resilience. I am truly blessed by the Christian family I have acquired at MICS!!
