My Education: I received a BA in English and Secondary Education from Drury Universityin Springfield, Missouri.  I received graduate credit in Special Education from Mid-America Nazarene University.  I hold certifications from the state of Florida and from ACSI to teach English in grades 6-12.  I am also recognized by the National Institute for Learning Development as a Certified Educational Therapist.

My Background: Having grown up in the Panhandle of Florida, I received my AA degree from Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, before finishing my bachelor’s degree in Missouri.  It was at a campus Christian fellowship group that I met my husband, Ken.  God blessed us with four beautiful children, who are now grown.

Position at MICS: This is my ninth year working as an Educational Therapist at Merritt Island Christian.

My Interests: I enjoy gardening, sewing, music, and traveling with my husband.

My Faith and Learning Statement: I have been an educator in some capacity for over 25 years.  A great deal of that time has been spent helping struggling students learn how to learn.  My desire is to help students overcome academic difficulties which hinder them from reaching their full potential.  More importantly, my goal is to point them to Jesus Christ so that they will want to know Him, love Him, and serve Him with their lives.
