My Education:  B.S. in History from the University of Virginia and a M.T. in Elementary Education from the University of Virginia

My Background:  I was born and raised in Vienna, Virginia.  I have 3 older brothers.  I taught K-4 and K-5 for four years in Savannah, GA and then stayed home with my children for 8 years.

My Position:  I taught First Grade for the last 6 years at MICS.  This is my first year back in Kindergarten.

My Interests:  I enjoy spending time with my family, Kristina, 13 and Alex, 11, my husband Kurt and our dog Boone.  I love to read, swim, and go to the beach.

 My Faith and Learning Statement:  I love teaching in a Christian School!  It is so exciting to see the children grow in their faith and love of Jesus Christ.  It is a pleasure to be able to deal with situations that arise in a Christ-like manner.  I believe that each child should be treated as an individual and should be encouraged to excel to the best of his or her own ability.
