My Education:      Masters degree in Early Childhood Education

My Background:    I was born and raised in Elberton, GA, the granite capital of the world.  I have 2 sisters (1 older and 1 younger) and 1 younger brother.   I attended Young Harris College in Young Harris, GA and then on to the University of Georgia.

My Position at MICS:   I am in my 18th year teaching at MICS.  I taught 4 yr old preschool for 4 years and 14 years in Kindergarten. I also taught kindergarten in public school for 7 years.

My Interests:   I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the beach, boating, and shopping.  I also love to read, scrapbook and spoil my granddaughter Bryce.

My Faith and Learning Statement:

I love teaching Kindergarten because of the trust that I see in the young eyes of a child.  Whether I am teaching Bible, Math, Phonics or any lesson, they are eager and excited to learn.  God has given them such excitement for life and learning.  To look at things through their eyes is to look with wonder and excitement.
