My Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida. I am certified by the State of Florida in Elementary Education.

My Background: I was born in Macon, Georgia. When I was twelve years old, my mother accepted a position at NASA, and we moved from Georgia to Cocoa Beach. All three of my children were born in Cocoa Beach and attended MIC.

My Position at MIC:  I am currently a sixth grade teacher. I also have the job of teaching math to all of the fifth and sixth grade students which I love! I have been a part of the faculty and ministry of MIC since 1983.

My Interests: My greatest joy and blessing is spending time with my children and grandchildren! I also enjoy the beach, reading, traveling, and spending time with great friends.

My Faith and Learning Statement: I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior at an early age. It is a blessing to look back on my life and see how God directed my steps and confirmed in my heart that He called me to be a teacher. I see teaching as a ministry, and as a Christian teacher, I know that each child is a gift from God, and He created each one of them with wonderful and unique talents and abilities (Psalm 139). My goal and heart's desire is to lead my students to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ and to equip them to reach their full potential in the Lord!
