My Education:  BS in Elementary Education with a minor in Bible

My Background:  I was born in Mississippi. When I was in 5th grade, I  moved to Texas. After Texas, I lived in Oklahoma, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Missouri. I went to college in Springfield, MO where I attended Baptist Bible College. I met my husband Dennis in college. We have been married for 33 years. We have two sons, and one daughter. We are the proud grandparents of three precious grandchildren, two boys and one girl. All three of our children attended MIC, our youngest son, Jeremy, graduated from MIC. Our grandchildren attend MIC, our oldest grandson is in 5nd grade, our granddaughter is in 1^st  and our youngest grandson is in K-4.

I have been teaching at MIC since 1989. I  taught 4th grade for many years and am presently teaching 5th grade.

My Position at MIC:  I have taught at MIC since 1989,  I am presently teaching 5^th grade.

My Interests:  I enjoy reading, and spending time with my family. We enjoy going to the Disney parks.  When it is cool, our family enjoys building bonfires. We like to go to the beach in the summer, and we also like to travel to see our families that live out of state.

My Faith and Learning Statement:   I have always enjoyed being with students. I truly enjoy knowing they are learning something they have never known. I teach history and geography to the 5th and 6th grade. I also teach Bible to my homeroom class.

I attended a Christian school from grades 8-12. I was blessed to be raised in church and came to know Christ as my Savior at a young age. As a Christian, I know Christ will always be there through whatever comes my way. I want my students to have a personal relationship with Christ, and know He will never leave or forsake them.
