Mr. Chupka's Web Page
My Education: I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from the University of Central Florida. I now plan on pursuing a graduate degree in math. I have also taken some graduate courses in religion from Liberty University. My Background: I was born in Cincinnati, OH, spent my teenage years in a small beach town in NC and most of my adult life here in Brevard County. After God saving me as a young adult I got involved in youth ministry at my church. I felt God calling me to work with young people so teaching was a perfect fit for me. After marrying my bride whose beauty is only matched by her patience, we served in ministry together for several years until she became a full-time mother to our dos hijas preciosas. I have served the students at MICS since 1995 with the exception of a three year mission in South America. My Position at MICS: I am a high school mathematics teacher at MICS. I have also taught Bible and I am the Varsity Girls Volleyball coach. My Interests: I love the mission of Christ. I believe all children of God are called to be missionaries if not abroad then in their church, job, family, or wherever else the Lord has them. Answering that call has given me the greatest joy. I also enjoy sports (mostly surfing, beach volleyball, and tree climbing), camping, anything sandy, or just relaxing in my hammock with my two daughters or in front of a movie with my wife. My Faith and Learning Statement: We live in a broken world surrounded by broken families, broken relationships, and broken young people. I teach math because I believe in the value of education but that is secondary to the privilege God has given me to reach young people. I know the answer to this broken world and desire to share that answer and equip students to be able to share it as well.
