Early Childhood Development Academy Director
I was born in Topeka, Kansas. My father was in the Air Force so I lived in six different states the first 14 years of my life. We moved to Cocoa Beach in 1971. I have been married to my husband, Rick, for 34 years. We have two children, Kristy and Erik. I have three wonderful granddaughters Andrea, Cortney, and Riley.
This is my 21st year of working at Merritt Island Christian School. In August, I became the Director of the Early Childhood Development Academy. I consider myself blessed to have the opportunity to work here. It is a good feeling to know you have a positive impact on children’s lives.
I recently received my AA degree from Brevard Community College and I am continuing my Early Childhood Education degree at the University of Central Florida.
Traveling the world is my number one interest – I want to see it all!!! I attempt playing golf and I love jet skiing. I am a football fan (Gators and Dolphins). Walking on the beach, listening to music and reading are also favorite pastimes.
In 1982, I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. My favorite Bible verses are Col. 3:12-17. I pray every morning that I live my life in this manner and become the person God intends me to be.
