Music

Elementary students experience music weekly as part of the curriculum. The goal of this program is to develop a love for music. Students learn to identify rhythm, to sing on pitch, to read music, to play recorder an Orff instruments, and to sing in annual music productions.

In secondary, the music program becomes more advanced and diversified through choral opportunities. The Choral Program offers a middle school chorus, a high school concert choir, and a select vocal ensemble called MICS Singers. These choral groups have consistently earned top honors at both district and state competitions. Their reputation as top choral performers has resulted in invitations from around the state to share their music, including the Walt Disney World Candlelight Proccessional and Massed Choir Program held annually at Epcot Center.

Private piano lessons are available and scheduled into the school day for interested students in both the elementary and secondary programs.
